Optični dušilnik CBO SFA21BK14 Singlemode LC Simplex 14 dB

Passive optical attenuator BlueOptics SFA21BK14 is a compact inline device for singlemode fiber links with LC simplex connector and fixed attenuation of 14 dB. It reduces optical power delivered to receivers to prevent saturation, stabilise performance and support accurate testing of fiber-optic networks. The attenuator is suitable for installation in telecom, datacenter and laboratory environments where controlled signal reduction is required without active electronics.

Advantages

The attenuator offers a fixed 14 dB attenuation value in a small LC simplex form factor, making it easy to insert into existing singlemode links. Its passive design requires no power and contributes minimal additional insertion loss beyond the specified attenuation. The compact inline housing provides compatibility with standard LC connectors and helps maintain signal integrity and return loss characteristics expected in professional fiber installations.

Suitable for

• Preventing receiver overload in singlemode optical links
• Testing and commissioning fiber networks with reduced power levels
• Matching transmitter power to receiver sensitivity in telecom and datacenter equipment
• Laboratory and field measurements where precise fixed attenuation is required

Key specifications

• Attenuation: fixed 14 dB
• Fiber type: singlemode
• Connector type: LC simplex
• Design: inline, passive
• Application areas: telecommunications, datacenter, testing

How to use

Insert the LC simplex connector of the attenuator between the transmitting and receiving ends of the singlemode fiber link, ensuring clean, dust-free connector endfaces before mating. No power or configuration is required; the device imposes a fixed 14 dB reduction in optical power. For patch panels or adapters, use the inline attenuator in accessible segments of the link to allow removal or replacement during troubleshooting and measurements.

Recommendations

Clean connectors with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before every connection to avoid increased loss and potential damage. Verify link power levels with an optical power meter after installing the attenuator to confirm the expected reduction. Store the attenuator with protective caps when not in use to protect connector endfaces.
