Bočne ščipalke Knipex 74 01 250

The Knipex 74 01 250 diagonal pliers are heavy-duty cutting tools forged from chrome vanadium steel and oil-hardened for durability. At 250 mm length and approximately 391 g weight, they deliver good leverage and precise control for demanding, continuous use. The cutting edges are induction hardened to about 64 HRC, enabling reliable cutting of various wires including piano wire.

Advantages

High cutting performance with minimal effort is achieved through an optimized cutting edge angle and transmission ratio. The precision cutting edges are induction hardened (approx. 64 HRC) for longevity and the ability to cut hard wires. The pliers are made of forged, oil-hardened chrome vanadium heavy-duty steel for robust, long-lasting performance.

Suitable for

• Cutting copper conductors up to 16 mm²
• Cutting aluminium conductors up to 35 mm²
• Cutting general electrical and installation wires, including piano wire
• Continuous, heavy-duty cutting tasks in professional workshops and on-site work

How to use

Place the conductor or wire close to the cutting edge and apply steady pressure to the handles until the wire is cleanly severed. For best leverage and minimal effort, position the material as close to the cutting edge pivot as practical. Avoid twisting or bending the tool while cutting hardened wire. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses when cutting under load or when chips may be produced.

Recommendations

Use the diagonal pliers for continuous, demanding cutting tasks; avoid using them as a hammer, prying tool or for cutting materials beyond the specified conductor sizes to preserve the cutting edges and tool geometry.
