How to use

Mount the card reader into an available 3.5" drive bay in the PC case and secure it with screws. Connect a free SATA data cable from the device to a SATA port on the motherboard and attach a power cable from the power supply if required. Insert a compatible CFast or CFast 2.0 card into the reader; the card will appear to the operating system as additional storage and can be used for file transfers or as a boot device if the system BIOS/UEFI supports booting from it.

Recommendations

Use a high-quality SATA cable and ensure the motherboard BIOS/UEFI supports booting from SATA-connected removable media before configuring a CFast card as a system drive. Handle CFast cards carefully and back up important data regularly.
