Key specifications

• Brand: Work Sharp
• Category: Knife sharpeners
• Design: compact, portable handheld sharpener
• Operation: manual, easy-to-use handheld method
• Compatible blade types: straight-edged kitchen, folding and outdoor utility blades
• Intended use: edge maintenance, refining and restoring dull edges

How to use

Place the sharpener on a stable, flat surface or hold it securely according to the manufacturer's guidance. Align the knife edge with the designated sharpening slot or guide, maintaining the correct blade angle and steady, even pressure. Draw the blade through the sharpening path in controlled strokes, repeating the motion evenly on both sides of the edge until the desired sharpness is achieved. After sharpening, wipe the blade clean and inspect the edge visually and by careful touch while avoiding contact that could cause injury.

Recommendations

Use clean, dry blades and make controlled, uniform passes rather than applying excessive force; gentle, repeated strokes provide better results and reduce wear. Store the sharpener dry and out of reach of children. For blades with significant chips or heavy damage, consider professional sharpening or a restoration tool specifically designed for re-profiling.
