Ekivalan OM2 Duplex patch kabel SC/SC 7m oranžen COZ050DCDC2SO0070A

Network technicians connecting switches, patch panels, or media converters in data centres and enterprise LANs will appreciate this 7-metre fibre optic patch cable. It uses OM2 multimode fibre with a 50/125 µm core/cladding diameter, terminated with duplex SC connectors at both ends. The orange LSZH jacket makes it easy to identify as multimode while meeting low-smoke, zero-halogen requirements for indoor installations.

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM2 multimode 50/125 µm
• Connectors: SC to SC, duplex
• Length: 7 m
• Jacket: LSZH, orange
• Insertion loss: ≤ 0.3 dB
• Return loss: ≥ 30 dB
• Attenuation: ≤ 3.0 dB/km @ 850 nm, ≤ 1.0 dB/km @ 1300 nm
• Bandwidth: 500 MHz·km @ 850 nm and 1300 nm
• Operating temperature: -20°C to +70°C

Why choose it

The duplex SC connectors provide a secure push-pull connection, and the OM2 fibre supports Gigabit Ethernet up to 550 metres at 850 nm. The LSZH jacket reduces toxic smoke in case of fire, making it suitable for enclosed spaces.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting fibre patch panels to switches
• Linking media converters in enterprise networks
• Short-distance backbone links in buildings

Good to know

OM2 is designed for LED-based transmission systems and is backward compatible with OM1, but for new installations OM3 or OM4 may be preferred for higher speeds.
