HDD košara Icy Dock MB924IP-B

The Icy Dock MB924IP-B is a compact universal HDD cage constructed from durable metal and finished in black. With external dimensions of approximately 157.5 mm (width) × 146 mm (depth) × 126 mm (height) and a solid build, this drive cage is engineered to accommodate up to 24 storage drives while supporting effective cooling and secure mounting inside a compatible chassis. The unit’s design focuses on mechanical stability and airflow to help maintain drive reliability in multi-drive environments.

Advantages

The metal construction provides rigidity and durability while helping dissipate heat from installed drives. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for cases with limited internal space without sacrificing drive density. The MB924IP-B is engineered for straightforward installation and stable drive retention, reducing vibration and improving long-term mechanical reliability. The black finish integrates unobtrusively into most system interiors.

Suitable for

• Rackmount and desktop servers that require high drive density
• Workstations used for video editing or content storage
• Backup arrays and archival storage systems
• Small data centers or home labs needing multiple hard drives in a compact area

Key specifications

• Supported drives: up to 24 storage drives
• Material: metal construction for strength and heat dissipation
• Colour: black
• External dimensions (approx.): 157.5 mm × 146 mm × 126 mm
• Weight (product): approximately 2.302 kg

How to use

Install the MB924IP-B into a compatible chassis bay according to the chassis manufacturer’s instructions. Secure the cage using the provided mounting points or screws, then insert the hard drives into the cage slots, ensuring each drive is seated and fastened as required. Connect the drives to your system’s backplane, controller or cabling harness following standard SATA/SAS installation practices. Verify that airflow paths are unobstructed and that fans or chassis cooling are active to maintain appropriate drive temperatures during operation.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, use drives with appropriate enterprise or NAS ratings when operating at high density and maintain adequate chassis airflow. Periodically check mounting screws for tightness and monitor drive temperatures. Follow the drive manufacturer’s guidelines for vibration tolerance and orientation to maximize lifespan in multi-drive installations.
