InLine kabel FireWire 400 na 800 34901 1m vtič/vtič črn

The InLine FireWire 400 to 800 cable is an adapter cable designed to connect FireWire IEEE 1394a (400 Mbit/s) devices with a 4‑pin connector to a FireWire controller using the IEEE 1394b (800 Mbit/s) connector. The cable is 1 m long, has male 4‑pin to 9‑pin connectors and a black jacket, and enables compatibility between older FireWire 400 devices and newer FireWire 800 controllers.

Advantages

This cable allows direct connection of FireWire 400 peripherals to FireWire 800 controllers thanks to downward compatibility of IEEE 1394b ports. The 1 m length provides a balance between flexibility and minimal signal loss, while the male/male connector configuration supports straightforward device-to-controller linkage. Durable black casing offers basic protection for regular use.

Suitable for

• Connecting external FireWire 400 hard drives to FireWire 800 ports
• Linking digital camcorders or DV equipment with 4‑pin ports to modern FireWire controllers
• Transferring audio/video data between FireWire devices and a computer with FireWire 800

Key specifications

• Interface: FireWire IEEE 1394a (4‑pin) to IEEE 1394b (9‑pin)
• Data rate compatibility: FireWire 400 (400 Mbit/s) to FireWire 800 (800 Mbit/s) controllers (downward compatibility)
• Cable length: 1 m
• Connector gender: Male to Male
• Color: Black

How to use

Connect the 4‑pin male end to the FireWire 400 device and plug the 9‑pin male end into the FireWire 800 controller port on the computer or hub. Ensure both devices are powered according to their specifications before initiating data transfer; the cable does not supply device power. After connection, configure device drivers or recording software as required by your operating system and hardware.

Recommendations

For reliable data transfer, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable, keep connection points free of dust, and use the shortest practical length to minimise potential signal degradation.
