Kabel USB DeLOCK 15 m USB 2.0 82689

This USB cable by Delock extends a USB 2.0 connection by approximately 15 m. It features a USB-A male to USB-A female connection and a chipset FE 1.1. The cable uses a thicker power line and data line (AWG 24 power / AWG 28 data) to provide a stable connection and supports a maximum current of 500 mA. The connector contacts are gold-plated and the cable is black.

Advantages

The DeLOCK 15m USB 2.0 cable provides a long passive extension without additional power adapters when connected to an active USB port. Gold-plated connectors improve contact reliability and the higher-gauge power and data conductors reduce voltage drop and signal loss over the 15 m length. The FE 1.1 chipset manages the signal for USB 2.0 compatibility.

Suitable for

• Extending USB connections to printers, scanners or external hard drives within 15 m
• Connecting devices where the host port is not easily accessible
• Combining with a second 15 m DeLOCK extension to reach up to 30 m (requires active host port)

Key specifications

• Connection: USB 2.0 Type A male to Type A female
• Chipset: FE 1.1
• Cable gauge: AWG 28 (data), AWG 24 (power)
• Length: approx. 15 m
• Maximum extension: up to 2 × 15 m cables (max. 30 m) when host port is active
• Maximum power: up to 500 mA
• Connector plating: gold-plated
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect the USB-A male plug of the cable to an active USB port on the host device and connect the USB-A female end to the USB plug of the peripheral device. If a longer reach is required, connect a second compatible 15 m DeLOCK extension cable to the female end to achieve up to 30 m total length; ensure the host port provides sufficient power and signal for the extended length.

Recommendations

For reliable operation at extended lengths, use ports that supply adequate current and avoid routing the cable near strong electromagnetic sources. Do not exceed the specified maximum current of 500 mA and verify device compatibility with passive USB extensions.
