KVM stikalo Inter-Tech AS-21HA HDMI

The Inter-Tech AS-21HA HDMI KVM switch enables control of two computers from a single keyboard and mouse while sharing one HDMI monitor. It supports display resolutions up to 1920 x 1440 pixels and provides USB connections for both keyboard and mouse. Housed in a compact steel case with a black finish, the unit measures 132 mm x 93 mm x 42 mm and weighs 0.48 kg. Designed for continuous operation, the device is specified with a mean time between failures (MTBF) of 120,000 hours and is powered by a 5V DC supply.

Advantages

The switch consolidates peripherals and display into a single point of control, reducing desk clutter and simplifying workstation management. Its HDMI video port ensures compatibility with modern displays at Full HD+ resolution, while USB keyboard and mouse ports support common input devices without additional adapters. The steel housing increases mechanical durability, and the compact footprint makes it suitable for limited-space environments. Long MTBF supports extended use in office or technical settings.

Suitable for

• Small offices where two computers share one monitor and input devices
• Home workstations requiring quick switching between a desktop and a laptop
• IT administration tasks that need direct keyboard/mouse access to two systems
• Media playback or presentation setups using a single HDMI display

How to use

Connect the HDMI cable from the KVM switch to your monitor and connect each computer to the switch using HDMI and USB cables for keyboard and mouse. Plug a USB keyboard and a USB mouse into the designated front or rear USB ports of the switch. Apply the 5V DC power supply if required by the unit. Use the device's switching mechanism to toggle control between the two connected computers; follow any indicator lights or on-device buttons to confirm active selection. Ensure both computers are configured to use the connected display resolution to avoid scaling issues.

Recommendations

For stable operation, use quality HDMI cables matched to the supported resolution and standard USB 2.0 or higher cables for input devices. Place the unit on a stable surface and avoid exposure to excessive heat or moisture. If switching between systems frequently, confirm that both operating systems recognise the shared keyboard and mouse to prevent input lag or device reinitialisation.
