Lanview LVN231768 odstranjevalec kabelskega plašča

The Lanview LVN231768 cable stripper is a lengthwise jacket splitter designed for working with cables from 4.5 mm up to 25 mm in diameter, including fiber optic cables. It enables controlled longitudinal cutting of the outer jacket to expose inner conductors or fibers while minimizing damage to the inner structure. The tool is lightweight (182 g) and supplied as a single unit per pack.

Advantages

The tool provides accurate longitudinal stripping for a variety of cable types, from small round cables to larger multi-core or fiber cables. Its compact and lightweight design ensures comfortable handling during repeated use. The specified size range (4.5 mm–25 mm) covers most common telecom and data cables where jacket splitting is required.

Suitable for

• Preparing fiber optic cables for termination or splicing
• Stripping jackets from telecom and data cables
• Longitudinal cutting of multi-core and sheathed cables

How to use

Position the cable in the tool so the jacket aligns with the splitting blade or cutting edge, then apply steady pressure and move the tool along the cable to cut the jacket lengthwise. After the longitudinal cut is made, peel back the jacket to expose the inner conductors or fiber. Use controlled motion and verify blade depth on a scrap or test length if working with delicate fibers to avoid nicking internal elements.

Recommendations

For fiber optic cables, check the blade setting and practice on a sample cable before working on live or finished assemblies. Wear appropriate eye protection when cutting, and store the tool in a dry place to maintain blade condition.
