Leča Axis 01469-001

Tamron 5 MP P‑Iris lens with a focal length range of 8–50 mm and a fast maximum aperture of F1.6, designed for CS‑mount network cameras. The lens supports up to 5 megapixel resolution and is optimised for cameras that use P‑Iris control, delivering improved depth of field and sharper images across the zoom range. Compatible with selected AXIS P13 series cameras and suitable as an upgrade or replacement lens for Axis camera systems using a CS mount.

Advantages

The P‑Iris mechanism provides precise aperture control for consistent image sharpness and contrast, especially in variable lighting. The 8–50 mm varifocal range enables both wide-angle coverage and medium telephoto framing without changing lenses. A bright F1.6 aperture improves low-light performance and allows shallower depth of field when needed. The CS mount ensures straightforward mechanical compatibility with cameras that accept CS‑mount lenses.

How to use

Mount the lens onto a CS‑mount camera by aligning the mount tabs and turning until it locks. If the camera supports P‑Iris control, enable P‑Iris in the camera settings and perform an aperture calibration if required by the camera firmware. Use the zoom and focus rings to set the desired focal length and focus manually; verify image sharpness at target distances. When adjusting for different scenes, balance aperture and shutter settings in the camera to achieve proper exposure while maintaining the desired depth of field.

Recommendations

For best results, pair this Tamron P‑Iris 8–50 mm F1.6 lens with an Axis camera that explicitly lists P‑Iris support and up to 5 MP resolution. Clean the optical surfaces with appropriate lens tissue and avoid forcing the mechanical rings. If used outdoors, ensure the camera housing provides adequate weather protection.
