Modularni patch konektor ShiverPeaks 75005-M – Cat 5 Ethernet adapter

Modular Patch Connector ShiverPeaks 75005-M — Cat 5 Ethernet Adapter is a compact, shielded RJ45 adapter designed for terminating and connecting Cat5 network cables. It supports standard 8P8C wiring for 100 Mbps networks and is intended for use in structured cabling, quick LAN repairs and small office or home network installations. The adapter's metallic, shielded construction reduces electromagnetic interference and provides a reliable mating interface for keystone jacks, patch panels and inline cable extensions.

Advantages

The shielded metal housing provides improved protection against EMI and crosstalk compared with unshielded connectors. Its modular form factor fits standard keystone openings and patch panel ports, enabling straightforward installation in rack or wall plate environments. The adapter supports standard Cat5 wiring and offers a stable mechanical connection for short inline joins or temporary repairs without requiring crimping tools. The compact size conserves space in dense patching scenarios and is compatible with typical 8P8C (RJ45) patch cords used in 100 Mbps Ethernet networks.

Suitable for

• Quick LAN repairs and temporary inline cable joins
• Connecting Cat5 patch cords in small office and home networks
• Termination into keystone jacks and patch panels for structured cabling
• Shielded installations requiring EMI protection

Key specifications

• Category: Cat5 (suitable for 100 Mbps Ethernet)
• Connector type: 8P8C (RJ45) modular adapter
• Shielding: metal / shielded housing to reduce EMI
• Form factor: modular keystone/patch adapter compatible with standard openings
• Usage: inline adapter for termination, patching and short cable joins

How to use

Insert the Cat5 patch cord into each end of the modular adapter ensuring the latch engages; verify correct alignment of the 8P8C contacts before applying any strain. For installation into a keystone jack or patch panel, place the adapter into the standard opening until it snaps into place. For a more permanent repair, route cables to minimize tension and protect the connection from moisture and mechanical stress. After installation, test the link using a network tester to confirm continuity and correct wiring for the 100 Mbps link.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in indoor, dry environments and avoid exposing the shielded connector to corrosive conditions. For links longer than short repairs or permanent installations, consider using properly terminated cables and patch panels to maintain signal integrity and compliance with structured cabling standards.
