Mrežni kabel CABLETIME Cat8 S/STP 5 m, črn

CABLETIME Cat8 S/STP 5 m, black is a shielded twisted-pair network cable designed for high-frequency, high-speed Ethernet links. The cable supports short-distance deployments in environments that require improved signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference. Intended for installation where 25/40 Gbps performance is needed while keeping backward compatibility with lower-category Ethernet standards, this 5-meter cable offers a compact, shielded solution for demanding LAN setups and server or data center interconnects.

Advantages

The shielded S/STP design reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, improving overall link stability and signal quality over short runs. A 5 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack, server-to-switch, or workstation connections without excessive cable slack. Backward compatibility with older Ethernet categories allows integration into mixed-category networks while enabling higher throughput where supported by connected equipment.

Suitable for

• Data center short links between switches and servers
• Server rack connections and patch panels
• Backbone runs within closets or equipment rooms
• High-speed LAN segments requiring reduced interference
• Environments where 25 Gbps or 40 Gbps links are deployed

Key specifications

• Brand: CABLETIME
• Model / MPN: CA915705
• EAN: 6975285505691
• Category: Cat8 S/STP (shielded twisted pair)
• Length: 5 m

• Application: Short-distance high-speed Ethernet (25/40 Gbps capable), backward compatible with lower categories

How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to the network device (switch, server, NIC or patch panel) and the other RJ45 end to the destination device. Ensure that both connected devices and intermediate equipment support the intended link speed (25/40 Gbps) when maximum performance is required. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and strong sources of electromagnetic interference; secure it in racks or cable management trays as needed. For best results, use shielded connectors and ensure proper grounding of shielded equipment and panels.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8 S/STP cable for short, high-speed links within racks, between adjacent racks, or between closely located network devices. Verify device compatibility for 25/40 Gbps operation and maintain proper grounding of shielded components to preserve signal integrity.
