Nosilec RAM Mounts Torque Large Rail Base RAM-408-112-15U

The RAM Mounts Torque Large Rail Base (RAM-408-112-15U) is a durable aluminum mounting base with a 1.5" (3.81 cm) rubber ball designed to secure devices on round rails and handlebars. It fits rail diameters from 1 1/8" to 1 1/2" and includes sizing inserts to ensure a snug fit and protect the rail surface. The black finish and robust construction make it suitable for outdoor and marine use.

Advantages

The mount uses a 1.5" rubber ball for compatibility with RAM ball-and-socket components and provides a secure hold on rails between 1 1/8" and 1 1/2" in diameter. Included sizing inserts offer protection for the rail and help achieve a tight fit, while nylon-insert locknuts reduce the risk of loosening in high-vibration environments. Constructed from aluminum for strength and corrosion resistance.

Suitable for

• Mounting electronic devices on boat railings
• Attaching accessories to bicycle or motorcycle handlebars
• Securing equipment to roll bars and tubular frames
• Outdoor and marine mounting applications

How to use

Place the appropriate sizing insert around the rail to match the rail diameter, then position the rail base and tighten the clamp around the rail until the base is secure. Attach the corresponding RAM ball-and-socket arm to the 1.5" rubber ball to mount the device. Use the nylon-insert locknuts when fastening to help maintain clamping force in environments with vibration.

Recommendations

Check the rail diameter before installation and select the correct sizing insert. Periodically inspect fasteners and locknuts for tightness, especially after exposure to heavy vibration or marine conditions, and re-tighten as needed to maintain a secure mount.
