Omrežno stikalo PLANET GSD-503

The PLANET GSD-503 is a compact 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for home, SOHO and small workgroup environments. It delivers wire-speed Gigabit performance with a 10 Gbit/s switching fabric and a 2K MAC address table while implementing energy-saving technologies to reduce power consumption without compromising network throughput.

Advantages

The GSD-503 combines Gigabit wire-speed packet forwarding and low-power operation by using Hibernation Link Down and cable-length based power adjustment technologies. It supports 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDI-X on all RJ45 ports, provides reliable full-duplex switching, and comes in a compact metal housing suitable for wall-mount deployment.

Suitable for

• Home networks requiring Gigabit connectivity
• SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) environments
• Small workgroups connecting to a backbone or servers
• Simple network upgrades to Gigabit speed

• MAC address table: 2,000 entries
• Standards: IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab, 802.3x, 802.3az
• Power input: DC 5 V
• Product colour: Blue
• Weight: 0.317 kg

How to use

Place the PLANET GSD-503 on a flat surface or mount it on a wall using the provided brackets. Connect each network device to the switch using Cat5/5e/6 cables; the switch will auto-negotiate link speed (10/100/1000 Mbps) and automatically configure MDI/MDI-X. Connect the DC 5 V power adapter to power the unit. The device operates as a plug-and-play switch—no configuration is required for basic connectivity.

Recommendations

For optimal energy savings, use shorter Ethernet cables (under 20 m) when possible so the GSD-503 can reduce port power based on cable length. Place the switch in a well-ventilated area and connect critical servers or backbone links directly to the switch to take advantage of its wire-speed forwarding.
