Optični kabel Helos, 3m, OM3 LC/LC

The Helos 3m OM3 LC/LC fibre optic cable is a 3-metre multimode patch cable with OM3 performance and LC connectors on both ends supporting duplex operation. With a 50 µm core diameter and turquoise jacket for easy identification, this cable is intended for short- to medium-range high-speed data links in networking and data centre environments. The LC/LC connector pair provides a compact duplex interface compatible with transceivers, patch panels and networking equipment that accept LC terminations.

Advantages

This OM3 cable offers multimode performance suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and other high-bandwidth multimode applications across short to moderate distances. The 50 µm core diameter supports standard OM3 modal bandwidth characteristics, while the duplex LC/LC termination ensures reliable paired channels for full-duplex communication. The turquoise jacket aids visual identification and cable management within racks and patch fields, and the 3 m length provides flexibility for typical rack-to-rack or equipment-to-panel connections.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between switches, servers and patch panels
• High-speed multimode links such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Fiber patching in telecommunications rooms and wiring closets
• Connections between LC-equipped transceivers and devices

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 m
• Multimode grade: OM3
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC duplex
• Polarity: Duplex for full-duplex operation
• Outer jacket colour: Turquoise

How to use

Install the Helos 3m OM3 LC/LC cable by inserting each LC connector into the corresponding LC receptacles on devices or patch panels, ensuring correct polarity for transmit and receive channels. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fibre when routing through racks or conduits. For reliable connections, check that connector endfaces are clean and free of dust or contamination before mating; use a fibre inspection tool and cleaning tools if necessary.

Recommendations

Use this cable for short to moderate multimode links where OM3 bandwidth is required. Store and handle the cable to prevent kinks, excessive tensile strain and contamination of connector endfaces. For links beyond the OM3 effective distance for required data rates, consider alternative fibre grades or transceiver options.
