Boya BY-M2 Tie Microphone

The Boya BY-M2 is a sleek tie microphone designed specifically for Apple devices. With an MFi Lightning connector and 24-bit/48 kHz digital resolution, the microphone delivers the highest quality recordings, ideal for podcasts, interviews and video recording alike. Easy to use and ready to go as soon as you plug it in, the BY-M2 is the perfect choice for creators looking for a professional audio solution that works perfectly with their iOS devices.

Professional audio quality

Boya BY-M2 guarantees crystal-clear sound thanks to 24-bit/48 kHz digital processing. The omni-directional characteristic captures sounds from all sides, making it ideal for recording interviews, narration or recording on the move. The sound is rich and faithful to the original, and the signal-to-noise ratio of 76 dB ensures that noise is minimized.

iOS compatibility

This microphone is the perfect partner for Apple devices. With a certified MFi Lightning connector, it works flawlessly with iPhones, iPads and other compatible devices running iOS 8.0 or later. The Boya BY-M2 requires no additional apps or drivers - just plug in the microphone to start recording.

Cable length for more freedom

The BY-M2's 6-meter cable provides convenience even in dynamic recording scenarios. Whether you're giving a presentation, recording video outdoors or preparing a live report, the length of the cable will allow you to maintain complete freedom of movement without restrictions.

Ready to use

The kit includes everything you need to start recording right out of the box. With broad compatibility with audio and video recording applications, this microphone allows you to work seamlessly with everything you do.

How to use

Connect the lavalier microphone’s 3.5 mm male plug to the female connector on the adapter cable, then plug the Lightning connector into your iOS device. Clip the microphone to clothing near the speaker’s mouth and position it to minimise clothing noise. Use the recording app on your device to monitor levels and start recording. The detachable design also allows connecting other 3.5 mm TRS devices to the included Lightning adapter.

Recommendations

For best results, place the lavalier microphone 15–25 cm from the speaker’s mouth, avoid rubbing against fabric, and check audio levels before important recordings. When using with non-iOS equipment, ensure the connected device uses a TRS output compatible with the BY-M2.
