Serijski kabel DeLOCK 87785 črn 2m DB-9

The DeLOCK 87785 is a 2 m black serial cable with DB‑9 (mini D‑Sub 9) connectors, intended to link two RS‑232 devices for direct data exchange. With a 5 mm cable diameter and compact mini D‑Sub 9 plugs (approx. 44 x 33.3 x 15 mm), the cable fits standard RS‑232 ports and allows adjacent connector placement. The wiring is arranged as a fully wired null modem cable with CTS/RTS automatic control, enabling flow‑controlled serial communication between devices such as printers, measuring instruments, converters, hubs and patch panels.

Advantages

The cable provides a full null modem wiring so transmit and receive signals are crossed for direct device‑to‑device communication. Integrated CTS/RTS auto control supports hardware flow control without manual signal switching. Compact mini D‑Sub 9 connectors reduce space requirements at the port area while maintaining compatibility with standard RS‑232 interfaces. The 2 m length offers flexibility for typical workstation and equipment arrangements.

Suitable for

• Connecting printers to computers or controllers
• Linking measuring instruments and data loggers
• Interfacing RS‑232 converters, hubs and patch panels
• Direct serial communication between two devices requiring null modem wiring

Key specifications

How to use

Connect each DB‑9 connector to the RS‑232 port of the respective devices. The cable is prewired as a null modem, so no additional wiring or adapter is required for direct device‑to‑device communication. Ensure both devices are configured to use serial communication with compatible baud rate, parity, data bits and stop bits. Hardware flow control using CTS/RTS is handled automatically by the cable where supported by connected devices.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling on the cable; maintain a reasonable distance from high‑voltage power lines or strong electromagnetic sources. Verify port pinouts and device settings before use to prevent communication conflicts.
