Terratec 272989 adapter

The Terratec 272989 cable gender changer provides a compact solution for connecting devices with USB Type-C and Micro-USB interfaces. The adapter features a USB Type-C connector on one end and two Micro-USB connectors on the other, housed in a silver finish that integrates unobtrusively with modern devices. It is designed to enable both data transfer and charging between compatible devices while minimising cable clutter.

Advantages

The adapter combines USB Type-C and Micro-USB connectivity in a single small unit, reducing the need to carry multiple cables. Its silver housing offers a durable appearance and a neutral tone that fits most environments. The cable supports standard data transfer and charging functions for devices that use Micro-USB or USB Type-C ports, providing a practical bridging solution where native cables are not available.

Suitable for

• Connecting legacy Micro-USB devices to a USB Type-C source for charging
• Transferring data between devices with USB Type-C and Micro-USB ports
• Reducing cable types needed when working with mixed-port device collections

Key specifications

• Connector 1: USB Type-C
• Connector 2: Two Micro-USB connectors
• Colour: Silver
• Functions: Data transfer and charging (subject to device support and cable/power source capabilities)
• Form factor: Compact gender changer / adapter

How to use

Insert the USB Type-C connector into the host device or power source and connect the Micro-USB plug(s) to the target device(s). Ensure connectors are aligned and seated fully to establish a stable connection. For charging, verify that the power source provides appropriate voltage and current for the target device. For data transfer, confirm that both connected devices support the required transfer protocols.

Recommendations

Use the adapter with compatible devices only and avoid forcing connectors. For reliable performance, connect directly to device ports rather than through multiple stacked adapters. If high-speed data transfer or fast charging is required, verify that connected cables and devices support the needed specifications and use certified chargers and cables.
