Tester omrežnih kablov MicroConnect CAB-TEST10

This network set provides essential tools for assembling and testing network cables, wall sockets and patch panels. It is designed for home networks and small office/home office (SOHO) use and contains a crimping tool compatible with RJ-12 (6P6C) and RJ-45 (8P8C) modular plugs, an IDC punch down tool with two fold-out pull hooks, a cable tester for RJ-12 and RJ-45 connections, and a universal stripping tool. The cable tester verifies continuity and wiring, identifying open, shorted or miswired pairs; note that a 9V battery is not included.

Advantages

The set combines crimping, termination and testing tools in one compact kit, reducing the need to buy separate instruments. Tools are suitable for both modular plug terminations and punch-down blocks, and the included cable tester checks pinouts and detects wiring faults quickly. The configuration supports common Ethernet and telephone connectors, making the kit versatile for on-site installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Installing and repairing Ethernet patch cords (straight-through and crossover)
• Terminating keystone jacks and wall sockets
• Working with punch-down blocks and patch panels
• On-site testing of network cabling in home and SOHO environments

Key specifications

• Connector compatibility: RJ-12 (6P6C) and RJ-45 (8P8C)
• Cable types supported: twisted-pair network cables (e.g., Cat5e/Cat6 patch cords)
• Tester functions: continuity, pinout verification, detection of open, short and miswired pairs
• Termination tools: crimping tool for modular plugs, IDC punch down tool with fold-out pull hooks
• Additional tool: universal cable stripper

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer jacket with the universal stripper, arrange the conductor pairs according to the required wiring scheme, and insert the wires into the modular plug or keystone jack. Use the crimping tool to secure RJ-12 or RJ-45 plugs, or use the IDC punch down tool to terminate on a punch-down block or patch panel. After termination, connect both ends of the cable to the MicroConnect CAB-TEST10 cable tester and its remote unit, power the tester with a 9V battery (not supplied), then run the test to confirm continuity and correct pinout.

Recommendations

For reliable results, ensure cable ends are cleanly stripped and conductors fully seated before crimping or punching down. Use the cable tester after each termination to verify wiring and identify faults; replace the tester battery when indicators dim or tests become inconsistent.
