Vijaki Fischer 670172

Fischer 670172 screws are durable metal fasteners designed for wood applications. Each screw is 45 mm long with a 30 mm threaded portion and a 4 mm diameter, supplied in a pack of 500 to cover medium and large projects. These screws are intended for general construction and DIY wood-joining tasks where reliable mechanical fastening is required.

Advantages

The screws provide consistent thread engagement and dimensional accuracy for predictable driving and secure holding in timber. Metal construction offers mechanical strength and resistance to shear loads commonly encountered in framing and joinery. The 30 mm thread length optimizes grip in typical wood thicknesses while the 4 mm diameter balances tensile strength with ease of installation. A bulk pack of 500 reduces the need for frequent repurchasing on job sites.

Suitable for

• Joining wooden boards and planks
• Framing and structural timber connections (non-certified)
• DIY carpentry and furniture assembly
• Interior construction fixes and repairs

Key specifications

• Material: metal
• Overall length: 45 mm
• Thread length: 30 mm
• Screw diameter: 4 mm
• Pack quantity: 500 pieces

How to use

Select a drill or driver bit that matches the screw head drive type and size. Pre-drilling a pilot hole in hard or split-prone wood can reduce splitting; choose a pilot diameter appropriate for the 4 mm screw shank. Drive screws perpendicular to the work surface using controlled torque to avoid over-penetration or stripping. For repetitive tasks, use a powered driver with an adjustable clutch set to a moderate torque and work in stages to ensure alignment of joined components.

Recommendations

Use these screws for interior and covered applications. For exposure to moisture or outdoor use, pair the screws with appropriate corrosion protection or select a suitably coated fastener. Store the pack in a dry place to prevent surface oxidation prior to use.
