Žar Staub 40509-343-0

The Staub Grill 40509-343-0 is a compact cast-iron grilling pan designed for even heat distribution and reliable cooking performance. With overall dimensions of approximately 340 mm in width and 210 mm in depth and a weight of about 2.7 kg, this black-finish grill pan offers stable contact with the stovetop or over a fire, delivering consistent searing and grilling results for meats, vegetables and sandwiches. Its robust construction is aimed at regular kitchen use while remaining manageable to lift and clean.

Advantages

The Staub Grill provides uniform heat retention and distribution, which helps achieve consistent browning and searing. Its cast-iron body ensures durability and long-term performance, while the black enamel finish resists sticking and simplifies maintenance. The grill’s compact footprint makes it suitable for small kitchens or limited cooking surfaces without sacrificing grilling capacity. The combination of weight and design promotes stable placement on gas, electric or ceramic cooktops as well as use on outdoor heat sources.

Suitable for

• Pan-searing steaks, chops and fish
• Grilling vegetables and fruit for salads and sides
• Preparing panini, sandwiches and open-faced toasts
• Indoor grilling on stove tops and outdoor use on camp stoves or grills

Key specifications

• Material: enameled cast iron for heat retention and durability
• Finish: black enamel surface for easier cleaning and reduced sticking
• Dimensions: approximately 340 mm width × 210 mm depth
• Weight: approximately 2.7 kg
• Shape and cooking surface: ridged/grill-style surface for searing and grill marks

How to use

Preheat the grill pan gradually on a medium heat until it reaches the desired cooking temperature. Lightly oil food or the cooking surface to reduce sticking; for best searing results, allow the pan to become hot before placing food on it. Cook items in a single layer without overcrowding to maintain even browning. After use, allow the pan to cool slightly before cleaning; wash with warm water and a soft brush or sponge and avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the enamel finish. Dry thoroughly and store in a dry place.

Recommendations

Use low to medium heat settings for prolonged cooking to preserve enamel finish. For high-temperature searing, preheat gradually and monitor heat to avoid thermal shock. Treat the enameled surface gently during cleaning and use silicone, wooden or nylon utensils to prevent scratching.
