Microconnect USBAB5B-ACTIVE kabel USB 2.0 5 m USB A USB B črn

The MicroConnect USBAB5B-ACTIVE is an active USB 2.0 cable, 5 m long, with USB A and USB B connectors designed to connect external USB devices such as scanners or printers to a USB host (computer, notebook, USB hub or wall charger). It supports data transmission up to 0.48 Gbit/s and has gold-plated contacts for reliable electrical connection and improved durability.

Advantages

The integrated signal booster (active cable) compensates for transmission loss over the 5 m length, preserving data integrity at USB 2.0 speeds. Gold-plated contacts reduce corrosion and ensure stable connections. The 5 m length provides extended reach without additional extenders or repeaters.

Suitable for

• Connecting printers with USB Type B ports to a computer or USB hub
• Connecting flatbed scanners and other USB B peripheral devices
• Extending the reach between a USB host and a USB B device up to 5 metres

How to use

Connect the USB A plug to the USB host (computer, notebook, USB hub or wall charger with USB host capability) and the USB B plug to the peripheral device (printer, scanner, etc.). Ensure connectors are fully inserted. The active electronics are integrated in the cable and require no separate power source; normal device drivers and host settings apply.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid sharp bends and heavy tension on the cable. Use at lengths up to 5 m as specified; if longer distance is required, use a certified USB repeater or an alternative connection method. Keep connectors clean and dry to maintain reliable contact.
