Pila Bahco 1-100-08-2-2

The BAHCO File 1-100-08-2-2 is a compact, general-purpose hand file designed for controlled material removal on metal and wood. With a 200 mm overall length and a weight of approximately 200 g, the tool balances maneuverability and cutting capacity for finishing, deburring and shaping tasks. The file's tooth pattern and hardened steel construction deliver consistent abrasion while the ergonomic handle profile supports extended use with reduced hand fatigue.

Advantages

This file provides predictable stock removal and a uniform surface finish thanks to its precisely cut teeth and quality heat-treated steel. The modest length and balanced weight make it easy to control in one hand for detailed work. The ergonomic handle improves grip and reduces slippage, while the tool's durable construction maintains cutting performance under typical workshop conditions.

Suitable for

• Removing burrs and sharp edges from metal components
• Shaping and smoothing wooden surfaces and joints
• Fine finishing on small parts and prototypes
• Deburring after cutting or drilling operations

Key specifications

• Overall length: 200 mm
• Weight: approximately 200 g
• Material: hardened steel file surface with ergonomic handle
• Cut type: precision-cut teeth suitable for general-purpose filing
• Suitable materials: ferrous metals and wood

How to use

Secure the workpiece before filing to prevent movement. Hold the handle in one hand and steady the tip or shank with the other to maintain control and even pressure. Use long, smooth strokes in the direction of the cutting teeth and lift on the return stroke if the file is single-cut to avoid dulling. Regularly clean filings from the teeth with a brush to maintain cutting efficiency. For best results, check the workpiece frequently and progress from coarse to finer filing as the desired shape or finish is approached.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Match the file cut to the material and task: coarser cuts for rapid material removal, finer cuts for finish work. Store the file in a dry place and avoid contact with other tools to preserve the tooth profile.
